Céline Dion Opens Up About Living with Stiff Person Syndrome

The Canadian Singer Shares Her Struggles and Determination

"Nothing Is Going to Stop Me," Says Dion

Canadian singer Céline Dion, known as the "Queen of Pop," has revealed that she has been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called stiff person syndrome (SPS).

SPS is a debilitating condition that causes the muscles in the body to stiffen and become painful. It can also lead to difficulty walking, talking, and breathing.

Dion, 54, said she was diagnosed with SPS in 2022. She has since opened up about her struggles with the condition.

"It's been a very challenging and emotional time for me and my family," Dion said in a video posted to her YouTube channel.

"SPS has affected my ability to perform and tour. It's also caused me a lot of pain and discomfort."

Despite her challenges, Dion said she is determined to continue performing.

"I want my fans to know that I'm not giving up," she said.

"I'm going to keep fighting for my health and my career."

Dion's announcement has been met with support from her fans and fellow musicians.

"I'm so proud of you, Céline," singer Shania Twain tweeted.

"You're an inspiration to us all."
